a new manager isn't going to make a damn bit of difference with this sorry excuse of a team.
No body any good will want to manage this resume killer anyway. Just let some idiot manage them for the time being, its hopeless.
2018 Atlanta rotation? 2 or 3 anyway. Should be able to find 5 guys among those four plus Newcomb, Wisler, Ellis, Blair Jenkins, Folty Sims. Next year?
so was I. Beckham hit a couple balls hard. Most of the other hits were weak bloops or dribblers. Neither Chacin nor Torres impressed, but I liked Winkler in his short stint. Swisher dropped a throw right to him and was comically bad on a pop up behind him that he managed to catch. Poor guy...
That would be Frank Wren and not "on the spot" but fairly close to it.
Maybe the only time there has ever been instant 100% consensus that is was a bad move.
Do we "win" the tiebreaker vs the Rockies? We lost the season series, if that's the criteria.
Memorable moment is a dismal year, getting swept by that crappy team and then extending our stellar staff.
someone needs to explain to me what the benefit is for keeping these three rookies in the rotation. It can't be to win games; they've already proven that ain't happening. Do they really benefit more from this than pitching in minors where they might actually have some success?
