Even with our farm being "weaker" this year than in the past few seasons we still keep producing big league talent year in and year out. Peraza is unbelievable, all he does is produce and looks like he will be a big time player for us in the near future.

I think FW will trade Bethancourt and others for a good starter. Gattis is the starter and is going no where for the next few years and Bethancourt is much more than just a a back up and teams always need good starting catchers. Obviously Bethancourt would be worth more than a Jake Peavy type...

Albies and Dykstra look like 2 promising young players and have been doing really well in the GCL. Even though Davidson went 0-2 he still drew 2 BB's and a run which is a positive sign for his plate discipline.

Kubitza is having a really good year in AA. He's got to be a better version of Chris Johnson,right?

I think Peavy is done as a pitcher. I'd rather see about Lackey than Peavy and I believe lackey has a team option for '15 so his contract would be expiring as well.

I think Peraza is closer to the Majors than I first thought at beginning of season. He is producing at a very nice level at AA for a 20 year old, though a small sample. Looks like we've found our future table setter that we've needed since Furcal.

Cedric Hunter is having a rather decent year in AA. He's 26 and a former Padre farmhand but he has been in the majors before and isn't relatively old. 30 XBH in 227 AB's and walking as much as he's k'ing. Also is hitting at a .317 clip with a 900+OPS.

Unfortunately just about anyone that we could bring up to take his spot would be an upgrade from Uggla. FW is just going to have to suck it up and release him. No one will take on that contract unless we make a trade that involves some good prospects.
