Surely we have more than 15m to play with? Weren't we prepared to pay a nice chunk to a SP in addition to trying to get Freddie for around the same as we just gave Olson?
Agreed I'd like to lock up Riley. Just can't imagine us losing all that club leadership of Freddie and Dansby in B2B years. Looking at who is available next season at SS isn't pretty.
Exactly so why wouldn't we feel comfortable doing that for the heart of the team. Chipper instilled in him the Braves Way. With DH more than likely coming next season it just gives us even more reason to because he could slide in there when he starts to slip defensively.
I truly believe that Freddie has too much respect for the Braves and his mentor Chipper to go anywhere else. Chipper passed the torch on to him and Freddie will too be a lifer. Yes we probably cost ourselves some money by letting him get to free agency but I would be more than fine signing him...
I am still PUMPED! Some one pinch me just to make sure it is real. Now comes the question, how much you think made from our magical postseason run? I really think we need to make every effort to not just resign Freddie but also Rosario and Soler!
I know it's not likely but man would I love it if we could get either Alex Binelas or Henry Davis from Louisville. Living here and seeing them both they are both mashers and would look fantastic in Braves in Unis
What would you think it would take? I wouldnt be opposed to offering Waters and Wright and a a couple 2nd tier prospects for Suarez. As mentioned above doubt they have interest in Riley which works cuz we could move him to LF.
What do think of a possible trade for Trey Mancini? Is it possible or even likely? Read a report that said the Orioles were wanting to defer salary through arbitration for him and another player. That doesn't bode well for thier financial outlook.
I would LOVE it if we could sign Ozuna. Then turned and Flipped Waters, Riley, Anderson, and 4th filler prospect for Ramirez. Our lineup would be stacked then and we would still have Pache
If Cleveland were willing to trade Lindor, the guy we really should be asking about and trying for is Ramirez. Who would it cost for him in a trade. He solves everything at 3rd for years to come.
