Braves already down 2-0.

And the man in charge of in game tactics for a MLB team has Verdugo batting #2 while Murphy bats #7. Apparently it’s sound strategy to hit a guy who has a .600 OPS #2 after temporarily losing his platoon job, while the guy with a .780 OPS bats 5 spots lower.
 
Marquez had a 5.86 k9 entering this game and he Ks what supposed to be 2 of our best hitters. This team is trash
 
Elder blowing up the start after throwing a masterpiece was a predictable as the Braves offense failing to get a big hit with RISP.

I put 10 dollars on Elder giving up over 5 runs before the game.
 
This is why I just can’t bring myself to be worked up about the batting order, the idiocy on its face of Verdugo being second notwithstanding
