I’m about ready to fire his dumb ass.

And not because the long term deals he gave out are backfiring and the window is closing because of it. And not because I don’t think he’s been a good, even great GM overall. But because there have been things over the last couple years that tell me he is lost and is declining right along with our players. And he keeps letting that fucking Snitker have free reign over in-game decision making.
 
I thought the CJ hiring was bizarre considering he only appeared in 22 games with the Braves in roughly half of one season. He finished that particular season with the Yankees.
 
Have the Braves swept a series yet this season? How do you manage to not sweep the worst team in the league after dominating the first two games, and have your starter strike out 15 hitters??

And please, everyone, do yourselves a favor and never get carried away by one of Ozzie‘s „streaks“. He is now, unfortunately, a terrible player who sometimes runs into stretches where he is useful for a few games. But that is not who he is. After all the talk about his hitting streak and then his on-base streak, he is now 3-20 with one walk and zero XBH.

Yes they swept the Twins
 
I'm seeing more and more about Sean Murphy and how the Braves have the most valuable trade chip at the deadline if they trade him and name the Padres, Rays, Rangers, Giants, and Cardinals that could desperately use upgrades at the catcher position. Catchers decline faster than anybody else bc of the wear and tear they take so it may be something we seriously need to consider. If we can get back 2-3 pieces that can help starting next year like one of the Cardinals SS while saving 15 million for another position then we probably should pull the trigger.
 
Knowing our luck, we trade Murphy and Drake turns into Michael Harris. Keep ‘em both. It is such a good thing to have a decent hitter at catcher every single night. And keeping both fresh- and in case of an injury is good too- plus Drake doesn’t have a price tag right now. Said differently, it would suck to trade Murphy…

It would definitely suck to trade Murphy but he's batting .225 and will be 31 this year. If you are ever gonna trade him this is the time to do it.
 
Murphy is such a great catcher even without the offense. Check our team ERA with him catching as opposed to anyone else over the last few years. But, yeah, I’d have a hard time justify not trading him if we were blown away.
