GDT 6/25/25: Braves @ Mets - Didier Know Another Win Would Be a Streak?

Hopefully canning continues to trip back to reality he's been on lately. Somehow I think he takes a 6-inning break to break it off in us tomorrow
 
Silver lining, by making that interesting- getting the tying run on deck- it made them use Diaz again. Could make a difference tomorrow…and Phillies lost too.
 
Can’t fault Fuentes. Just not ready yet. Hopefully this allows AA to see that if he’s serious about competing he has to go out and get someone who can put up five competent innings. It’s not going to turn around regardless without sustained production from the offense anyway.
 
If AA is serious about not selling, then Is there a reason why Charlie Morton isn't a Brave? Baltimore would move him for a bucket of balls. If money is an issue, swap them Iggy or Fletcher in the deal.

How certain are we that the O’s are even sellers. Like the Braves, they had a horrible start but have been playing much better of late.

12 games below .500 and last place in the AL East. They are 3 games better than they were a month ago. And their SP is hot garbage. Our SP is above average, though with Sale out we've taken a hit.

I suppose they can believe what they want to believe, but they have zero shot at the playoffs.
 
If AA is serious about not selling then I don’t see how he still has twit making decisions. Last night twit made three glaring mistakes that basically screamed punt for the game.

Didi was not good. It was clear. He should have been pulled a batter or two after the Soto homer. Instead he was left in to try and get through the inning and gave up 4 additional runs for zero outs. A proper move could have saved 2+ extra runs.

Allowed verneedstogo to hit versus a lefty with a man on and 1 out. White was the easy call and maybe you get to acuna with men on

Allen to hit with 2 men on and Murphy napping on the bench.

Again, maybe these moves don’t result in the win but at least it gives you a shot and doesn’t send a message that he quit on the team.
