TRHLIM

Maybe more people should have voted for Harris even though they were not ideologically aligned with her cuz the likely harm from a second Trump term was not hard to discern.

The debate will go on. And on.

I happen to agree, but I will say as a staunch progressive who’s voted for the Democrat in every election I’ve been able to, I haven’t been happy with my own vote in over a decade now, so it’s hard to give someone who doesn’t agree with Dem policies to begin with a ton of criticism for them failing to do so.

I also think we continue to miss the bigger issue, which is that Congress has decided it’s just over that whole legislating thing almost entirely this time around. I would imagine there are a number of independent voters who *would* consider changing their votes if they knew Trump would just get to basically handle any and all government business.

The. Biden. Census. The fucking Biden Census. Up is down.

(Also, you can’t just exclude non-citizens from the Census, there’s an entire section of our legal population that’s not within that group)
This is the woman who bitched about the BBB having a provision that she didn't know about after she voted for

An america first president would aim his fire at her instead of Massie. But we have a big, liberal socialist president instead

One thing I especially don’t love about this Trump term is the extent to which it’s just accepted that apparently *everything* is a national emergency at all times and the President exercising emergency powers to bypass Congress is therefore entirely necessary and unquestionable.
lol have you seen Chuck shumer on the congressional floor ?

Everything’s world ending.

You’re conflating rhetoric and political theater with the use of broad and expansive legislative authority only meant to be granted in times of duress. The White House is running things it shouldn’t be running because of an imaginary set of emergencies. Once they declared a national emergency over reciprocal tariffs that didn’t exist and Congress just refused to take its authority back by using administrative fuckery to not even call a damn vote on his ability to use them, they lost the plot.
