GDT 7/4/25: Braves vs Angels - Our #3 Starter Takes The Mound

Angels rank 28th in Walks taken. That could be good if Elder is having one of his inability-to-throw-strikes performances, but likely it just means they will swing more and hit his meatball pitches.

Just for one season I would appreciate not having to rely on Bryce Elder starting baseball games.

Well, if fastballs at the shins are going to be called strikes, the 2023 Braves wouldn’t be scoring tonight.

I see the people of Facebook and Reddit are quickly being placed back to reality (wanting to buy at the deadline) after last night's rare occasion.

Why we don't IL Ozuna, call up a 3rd catcher to DH Murphy/Baldwin every other day, and DFA one of Eli White or Stuart Fairchild (having both is redundant) since they're both out of options is maddening. Would anyone really pick Fairchild up?

Looks like they are both taking walks and hitting his meatballs so far.
