Michael Harris II

Yup. A Tucker type player would do wonders. We need a bat to replace Ozuna but also play the field so the team can rotate players through the DH spot.
I would love to be wrong, but with the cubs' resurgence, I say no way he ends up leaving Chicago. Well, unless the dodgers go hard

Get Harris back into a 4-5 WAR player, a SS upgrade, and Riley back to full strength. Then you can afford to have Albies as your weak link. Maybe he adjusts or maybe it’s Nacho if he keeps struggling.
Lodise will move fast through the system once he is assigned. I could see him being ready sometime after the AS break next year possibly.

A player like Tucker would mean the FO would have to spend some fckn money...that ain't happening....They want cheap prospects with potential that could possibly stick while under control....

A few things I think plays in the Braves favor is this past offseason and last deadline was embarrassing to the team and they will do everything to fix it. The CBA is looming and they want to get whatever done in case it changes things. They will also have the money for Tucker and he's from Georgia.

I’m high on Lodise but you can’t plan on a draft pick before they’ve even had one professional at bat
Yeah I'm not I'm just saying being a college player he'll move faster than a HS guy and could be ready next year sometime to contribute even as a bench guy.

I can't imagine we pony up the 300+ million it's gonna take to land Tucker. Hell, 300 million might not even be in the ball park with how much these recent contracts have been.

We'll probably just bring Ozuna back. Maybe trade Murphy to get a SS or a LFer. Most of our available money will probably go to SP and BP. I could see us signing Cease on a pillow contract. And I'm guessing that Lopez goes back to the pen. Maybe he's our closer.

I'd probably try to bring in Chapman also. I do think they'll get Cease but it will be a 5-6 year deal bc Boras won't do a pillow deal and there will be a lot of teams needing SP. if there is ever an offseason they'll load up it'll be this one so I do think they go hard after Tucker so Acuna can DH more. Ozuna won't be back once he's traded bc they'd just stick with the 2 C system they are doing now rather than do that.

MH now hitting .400 and slugging .700 since the all star break. 1.1 WAR in 15 games. I think what we need to do is just send him to the minors until the all star break because it's becoming an annual tradition to pull his head out of his ass sometime around then. Maybe just put him on the 60 day DL to start the year due to mental disability.

It's remarkable that his numbers could level out to resemble a down year more than an abysmal mess. lol

At one time an article pointed out that he be
more productive just standing there with the bat on his shoulder

That’s amazing

He never was with his defense. That was all that was keeping him in the lineup on 7/1. Its amazing to me how a simple stance change can turn things around that fast.

So he's no longer one of the worst players in baseball?

Well he is as of now the 7th worst hitter that woiuldd qualify for the batting title. MH is a career .243 hitter in the first half and .315 in the second. I guess the good thing is the playoffs are in the second half. So theoretically everyone who whines we dont hit in the playoffs should want to keep MH. I know batting average isnt the hip stat but MH is very reliant on having a good batting average.
