Hayden Harris Time! And a couple of other moves.

So looking at the way too small sample size of the Harris data... still have no idea how he managed a sub 1 ERA over 50 innings in AAA..

Munoz on the other hand.. the data loves him as much as the eye tests do. That sinker is excellent. and he pairs it with a pretty good Slider. He threw one pitch that was called a change that was also plus, but I think it was mis labeled personally. The delta between the FA and change was like 4 mph.. it dropped similar and almost exactly same run as his sinker.

I think if Munoz could master a true Change, he would be elite level closer given good control. which is what worries me with him.

He definitely has the stuff. His fastball has crazy movement. If he can locate it better that dude is gonna be tough to hit.

Harris gets an elite 7.2 ft of extension. To only be 6' tall, that he is pretty incredible and is one of a select few pitchers at 6" or shorter with that sort of extension (Strider being one of them). If that is legit (and no reason to think it isn't) then it would make his 92-93 MPH FB play up a tick or 2. Then you also consider his weird arm angle and it leads me to think there is something there.

I think he is something along the lines of Holmes.. I just hope AA doesn't get fooled and tries to extend him when he has a great year next year.. eventually the mediocre stuff will get solved.

Here is another article that mentions Harris before he was drafted and noted his elite vertical approach angle.

As noteworthy as this article makes it all sound, I am not aware of anyone on this list who is currently a highly rated prospect. So take it with a grain of salt. I just thought it was interesting.
