Yep, anybody still pushing the groyper stuff is either not paying attention to the facts or is pushing a narrative for political purposes. I see no other justification for anybody to be that dense.

Its been interesting reading about how murders get classified. Basically any white dude who commits a murder is considered right wing, amd nothing is ever classified as left wing
Agreed that it’ll be insane and toxic and horrifying. What I’d urge many to remember as they get a peek behind that curtain is this kind of online environment is a rapidly growing problem all across the political and social spectrum. We’ve spilled a lot of digital ink trying to figure out which political side to blame for radicalizing the shooter, but there’s a vast web of these sorts of chat rooms where they’re radicalizing each other because they’re angry, lonely or lost. Politicians and pundits should continue to look inward at what they say and do, but we also need to invest heavily in understanding what’s driving this behavior amongst young men.
To be completely fair, that just comes down to which sources you’re drawing from. The crazy guy who claimed Tim Walz sent him to murder liberal lawmakers so Walz could run for Senate has been uncritically accepted by the right as leftist violence that Walz inspired despite ample evidence suggesting he’s just a crazy dude.
I think because both sides are so reticent to accept any blame for anything they say or do, there’s a pervasive culture of just blaming the other side and calling it a day.
Actually I agree wholeheartedly with you on this and almost added to that post that ironically the left could reasonably be to blame for the conditions that led to this radicalization for that very reason. I don’t ascribe to all of the right’s criticisms regarding COVID response, but we fucked those kids up hard.

I’m a believer that issues with young men can typically be traced to either young women, or the young man’s father. This online world of 10% of the guys getting 80% of the “dates” on dating sites is the first thing that catches my eye as a likely factor. Add that to living at home longer and you’re missing some key milestones of a young man setting out on the traditional path that all young men have always gone down.
And yeah, I think the guys that would have been a bottom or twink or whatever you want to call the feminine side of a gay relationship in the 90s are now often convinced they’re actually a woman.

I think this risks placing too much accountability on the young women to conform to what the young men want from them instead of asking why there’s so many issues with young men and women finding each other mutually compatible. And while I again trust your intent here, there have been so many reactionaries on the right condemning women for what is a both-sides issue. If men and women have different ideas for how they want their lives to play out, young women deserve as much individual agency as the young men.
Just to play Devil’s Advocate a bit here, I can’t help but wonder what exactly it is in the human mind/body that happens that has always led some to exhibit and relate to these more feminine traits as you point out here, and why the prevailing opinion on gender vs. biological sex must then be the wrong answer rather than this being potential evidence that what is being treated as gender dysphoria now was being under-recognized in the past. Not trying to start an actual debate around gender here, but wouldn’t this also explain the phenomenon you’re describe here?

if I had to guess, the boyfriend didn’t have any foreknowledge Robinson would do this, but I’m sure they discussed Charlie Kirk quite a bit. Given the shooter had no issue bringing up his disdain for Kirk at family dinner and how Kirk was going to UVU, it’s logical to assume he would talk about that with his romantic partner he lived with.
This trial is gonna be wild (there’s no way the prosecutor offers a plea deal given the pressure they are under to get the death penalty). I wonder if it will be televised.
