New Manager Discussion

Maybe AA got lethargic due to knowing we were spinning tires with Snitker at the helm, and that he was going to have to reset the luxury tax.
"I gave him all these loaded bullpens, and great versatile utiilty players the last few years and it was all wasted"

So he just purposely filled our roster with filler.

Angels are hiring Kurt Suzuki as manager. I haven't heard that name for any of the managerial openings. In fairness, last time I heard Suzuki's name is when the Braves' announcers mentioned him when he last played for the Braves in 2018.

i feel like i saw giants fans mention his name a few times in discussion about Vitello (e.g. "At least we're not hiring Kurt Suzuki")

haven't heard anything about his actual managerial qualifications, but the angels are a joke organization so...

This is going to be real interesting to see how Vitello and the Giants work out
I think it's pretty clear it won't work out, and will be another piece of evidence that Posey has no business running baseball ops for an MLB franchise. He's going to be like Dave Stewart in AZ, but maybe not quite that terrible.

Lehmann and Lombard are the top of my wish list at this point.

Just glad that it appears that Dero, Weiss, and Perez are not being considered. Ross apparently isn't either. I that wouldn't have been thrilled with Ross, but he's far from the worst option.

Basically every reasonable person’s here top 3 candidates are also the top 3 candidates for the Braves.

Couldn’t ask for more.

Rumors are it’s down to Lehman, Lombard and Flaherty with Lehman potentially being the frontrunner
Does feel like they're waiting for the WS to be over so they can announce Lehman. But Flaherty and Lombard arent bad options. I'd take the risk on Lehman though.
