Whoops, posted that in the wrong thread. But on the other hand, maybe not.
To be fair, there’s also a large percentage of people who think a ballroom is a common sense addition for closing important business deals, which is just as stupid as this. But boy is this stupid. If there’s one thing I don’t care about, it’s the East Wing’s facade.

It’s admittedly kind of funny that Trump is managing to turn a bunch of rich people pooling their money together for a ball room into some important cultural moment.
They’re naming a place we wine and dine the global elite after Charlie Kirk like this is some fight for free speech or something. It’s a party venue for the rich.
This is ultimately also why the left is so bad at this. Nobody should give a fuck if they want a big party room. They already had plenty in that building and we’ll get used to the new look just as we have for every other change to it. Spend your political capital elsewhere.
