Most give a minimum of like 6 weeks. Then the rest is short term disability or unpaid time off.

The short term disability is usually an elective coverage at 40-60% of income

It’s obviously not wrong to be distrustful of China, but a social media company boosting a candidate that is naturally good at social media and immensely popular amongst the young people who frequent that website over a guy who is decidedly neither of those things is not evidence of a conspiracy.

Sounds like a speech to fill time and get some rah rah from the crowd. We can’t get 60 senators to vote to reopen the government, I don’t think anyone expects a supermajority to approve a Constitutional amendment.

Like I said in the other thread, this isn’t really the right losing its mind or some grim sign of encroaching authoritarianism. It’s red meat for the Trump wing of the party while following the constitution. If he gets 38 states to agree to make him eligible for President in 2028, he frankly deserves it.

What exactly stops him? Who has authority to do anything to the President. As long as a President has the support of their own party their power is unlimited. If Republicans hold the Senate he could simply appoint 20 new justices who are stooges like Alina Habba who then rule he can run. again. Its going to be a shit show. The constitution does have a remedy for these situations and I wouldnt blame anyone for using it.
