The Trump Administration, but good on you for recognizing the soybean issue was caused by the current trade war. That’s a big departure from the current narrative in MAGA world.

Its actually twofold but primarily an issue of the CCP developing ALTERNATIVE SUPPLY chains to have leverage in negations. Something thats been happening for almost 20 years.

UPS announced 48k this morning. I dont think they would do that if they were expecting a robust holiday season but who knows
I’m always surprised when I get an email that a UPS delivery is coming because those deliveries are so rare that I forget they exist. They’re one of those huge companies that amazes me by still being in business. I just never see them.

Are we supposed to pretend that getting China to buy crops from us, a thing they were doing before we blew up global trade, is a win for farmers?

Also, this has not yet turned a profit for the American people. The market rallying is good for our prospects, but we didn’t get a payment back?
China has had plans to diversify for twenty years so a commitment to divert that strategy may be construed a win.

Also, that profit in fx will most likely expand as Milei is able to continue to implement needed reforms.

I’m not a fan of sending billions to other countries. I’m also not a fan of not participating in or even acknowledging the cold war we’ve been in with China for the past couple of decades. The drug boat strikes, border security, tariffs, and aid to Argentina are all actions that are finally being taken to slow China’s domination of us in that war. Chemo sucks, but it’s useful for fighting cancer.

Oh noes! Support freedom over socialism!

Is it only socialism if you give that money for social programs for your own citizens and not when you're bailing out another country where your cronies and friends will stand to benefit from the investment and not the average citizen?

To fix the mess the socialists have done in Latin and South America it requires non traditional means.

But I know you’ll be very upset when the average Argentinian has their lives vastly improved.

And when you are blind adherents to a textbook ideology you lose the context of the current world we live in and why certain unorthodox decisions are made.

Considering our CIA operations half a century ago had a lot to do with Latin Governments going to the extremes... I'm sure this will pan out nicely.

I simply don’t accept that we get to decide unilaterally that we have the right to fight this particular cancer abroad in direct violation of international law just because we can.
