Some Red State/Blue State Indicia

Understanding the inherent privilege of standardized testing is something I think most people should look into.
But it’s the poverty and environment. Tests are not biased against black people, kids with bad homes/schools just do worse on those tests. I am all aboard for discussions about systemic inequities in our country, but it’s dumb to ascribe those qualities to a standardized test.

Part of the problem is our government doesn't see it a priority to uplift the inner city poor. They outnumber the rural poor by a lot because of the population metrics of a city. And most inner city poor are brown skinned folks.

There've been some interesting studies about how drastic the climb between wealthy black and poor black is vs. wealthy white and poor white that paints a picture more damning than I do. But I'm not versed enough to talk about it.
