There doesn’t need to be one. The Mayor-Elect of New York City does not need to answer for his expression of sympathy toward a murder victim in Washington DC not being detailed enough. That a bunch of right-wing weirdos have decided he must doesn’t change the fact that his post was perfectly fine.

I have a feeling if a right wing nazi assassinated AOC, and Trump tweeted his sympathy for the "sudden and unexpected passing of the congresswoman" you would take him to task for playing defense for the murderer

No, I am honestly fine with people just expressing their condolences on social media. Not every single piece of digital communication needs to be a succinct, world-changing insight. Though at least in your context the person involved in the outrage has any business having his opinion sought after. Did you go check to see if the mayor of Butte, Montana had a strong enough tweet for this?

lol what? I don’t go after Trump for this kind of post. I go after Trump for his hatefulness, stupidity and obvious lies. Please feel free to point me to a time where I just didn’t think Trump was adequately thorough in a post sending regards to the family of a murder victim. The difference ain’t that hard to spot, chief.
