Article I, Section 8, of the Constitution specifies that “The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Ex-cises.” The Framers recognized the unique importance of this taxing power—a power which “very clear[ly]” includes the power to impose tariffs. Gibbons v. Ogden, 9 Wheat. 1, 201. And they gave Congress “alone . . . access to the pockets of the people.” The Federalist No. 48, p. 310 (J. Madison). The Framers did not vest any part of the taxing to the Executive”
 
If the deficit continues to rise regardless, seems like a rather insignificant metric to tout in a weak economy.

Real wages are increasing at incredible rates - I've always 'mocked' GDP as a stupid indicator of the health of a country.

Construction spending is spiking - Industrial production is spiking - We are trading less with the CCP.

Its a golden age.
 
Thanks to the Supreme Court's not terribly unexpected ruling inflation will be lower and growth stronger in 2026. Attaboy SCOTUS!
 
Heck - If you add Trump term 1 I think we are up to 4 wars with Iran.

Lots of US soldiers must be dead by now right?
 
Dominating the western hemisphere won't be cheap

But I'll keep keeping score to see how many wars we have with Iran.
If the number remains at 1, I will eat the biggest heaping of crow you can serve on a plate and do it gladly

A protracted War with Iran would be a disaster
