Some Red State/Blue State Indicia

Per capita GDP growth from 2010 to 2023: California 86%, Florida 63%.

One thing you don't seem to understand is that now all the money in Cal is in a few hands.

The poverty rate and the educational issues in K-12 ensure a gloomy future.

You just had a trillion dollars leave the state and when Silicon Valley has had enough and leaves, Cal will be one of our worst states.

Are you talking about 2016-2025?
1. 2025 data are not out
2. I started the discussion with the 2024 data released yesterday
3. I added to the discussion with the per capita income growth from 2010 to 2023.
4. If anyone wants to present actual numbers for any period it would be a welcome addition to the discussion

Florida's growth over the last decade is 54%, compared to California at 53%

This despite the MASSIVE tech valuation expansion that occurred during that time. California printed a negative year actually. You'll never guess which one.

I give hint. It was the year where the nasdaq fell 33%

What is this "last decade". Start and end years
I pulled 2016-2025 but I recognize now that didnt include 2025 yet

My point is there is not a world where a state should be competitive with California considering the largest tech giants in the world sit in California.

And yet...

so you were comparing state income in 2024 with 2016? Per capita or overall?

Craig Scott Valdez, 36, chief of staff to Alaska State Senator George Rauscher, faces federal charges including sex trafficking of children, production of child pornography, and enticement of a minor, with penalties from 15 years to life in prison. Prosecutors describe him as a compulsive offender who used Snapchat to target at least 12 juveniles as young as 13, paying them via CashApp for explicit content and encounters. Senator Rauscher fired Valdez immediately upon learning of the Friday arrest in Juneau, calling the allegations shocking, while the FBI seeks information on additional victims.
