2026 ST Thread

I have Strider's average FF at 94.76 today. Guess he decided not to continue ramping up today. Odd because folks assured me that's what was going on. Maybe he needs a 3 year rehab?

Hopefully that barely above average Grade 57 heater and those below average breaking balls are enough to compete. It never has been good enough for him before without 97+ in his pocket, but I suppose we will keep waiting to find out. At least he can gobble up some innings with a 4.5 ERA I guess.

The type of depth this rotation has been lacking

I plugged Strider's latest pitching data into Claude and here's what he said:

- The four seamer is 50-55.
- The slider is 40-45
- The curveball is 45
- The changeup is a 60-65, by far his best pitch, but he rarely uses it.

Verdict: Back-end starter or swingman type who is dependent on command, but the elite extension (6.9) makes the stuff play up significantly.

Movement /velocity grades say a .340-.360 xwOBA, which is a below average pitcher.

The elite extension and tunneling could push that number to .290-.310, which is above average.
