The Passion of John Rocker

John was ostracized for his beliefs and being a Christian. He’d be sitting in Cooperstown right now if wasn’t blackballed by MLB. This is why we need Trump in office. He would have never allowed the grave injustices against John Rocker to take place!

P.S. It’s an absolute farce that the Braves haven’t inducted him into their own Hall of Fame.

He did a damn good job fking himself. Fk him.

Cy I can never tell when you are being serious or sarcastic but on the off chance you were being serious, this F’er stood outside minority owned daycares in Ohio and threatened to call ice on them. He’s literally one of the worst (and dumbest) humans alive. No way would a class organization ever want anyone like him associated.

Your talking about the same guy who posts fake tweets about Acuna going to the DL.

I didn’t even watch the video until just now. Lol, Rocker wasn’t ostracized from MLB. He declined heavily and was terrible his last 3 years. That’s why he was out of the league at 28, though I’m sure his comments and overall persona possibly expedited the situation. He still pitched four more years for three different teams after those comments.

We went and watched him pitch in Little Rock when he was on a rehab assignment in 2002. He came in and blew away the AA hitters in short order…immaculate inning if I recall correctly.

A guy in our group went over and sat behind home plate by the scouts for Rocker’s inning. He threw all fastballs (to our untrained eyes), none of which got to 90 mph. He was clearly done.

He wasn’t blackballed but he lost it after that. It was a shame because the guy was really good and we struggled at closer until Smoltz stepped in.

I did think there was a lack of professionalism with the team about it. The pressure had a lot to do with his decline and I never liked Brian Jordan after that.

Wait…why are we blaming Brian Jordan?
He was very outspoken after it happened and we needed our leaders to keep the peace rather than doing more tacking to the press.

I know Rock declined but it was a meltdown that happened immediately after it happened. I really think the stress broke him. I don’t like him but he left a big hole in the bullpen. Teammates should have realized that.

He did it to himself. His actions, his words and his awful pitching the last few years. No one else to blame but himself. Nice try though

People can forgive you being a shitty person if you're a superstar, Kobe raped someone and they just swept that under the rug and no one brings that up. Walker had one basically good year, 1999. 1998 was solid. but basically he was pretty good at striking guys out but walked too many guys and gave up too many homers.
