GDT 5-1 Rocky Mtn. High—Holmes Style

We made it through nine innings with a challenge still in our pocket, Riley had a great game, El Dddio got his first win, Dubon cleared the bases with a triple, Holmes actually pitched a good game after a disaster of a start, Mauricio ate up a damage-free inning, Olson hit another homerun, and Suarez was just nails after he shook off a little rust….but MH2 to come in to PH and do THAT ??? Just incredible!
 
I'll be at tomorrow night's game with knit cap, gloves, and heavy hoodie. I hope I won't need them. However, the last time I went to a game in Denver (two years ago in July) I felt like I was freezing and we left the tying run on base in the ninth. Coors Field is nice but it's in a crappy part of town.

I went to a game there on opening day about ten years ago.. it’s a really cool ballpark (but aren’t they all?)**

Just got back from the game. WOW! My buddy and I had written the game off and were just chilling, and suddenly the Rockies bullpen. It was cold tonight and I put my gloves on in the 6th inning. Rally gloves for the win!

Props to Holmes for staying out there and giving the bullpen 4 innings tonight. Dubon and Harris the POGS!

Going to a game on Monday and then in Denver the next four days. Based on this report and the broader forecast, it’s sounding like breaking out gloves is in order—especially coming up from Phoenix.
