Probably because his once friends continuously make the mistake of wishcasting and projecting their own ideologies onto him when Trump only cares about what's best for Trump. The problem of following a movement that’s led by a cult leader and has no principles.

The tweet buries the other half of the lede here, but these two poll questions and the ideological divide within them are about as good an encapsulation of the Trump effect as I could possibly imagine. Trump supporters deeply overestimating his skills and non-Trump supporters deeply underestimating them.

I could definitely beat up an 80 year old man in a fight. I don't think an 8 year old boy necessarily could (though it fi twas boxing he probably could just run around until trump shits his pants and sits down)
But seriously, I think any male 13 or older and 65 or younger who's not disabled should be able to beat him in a fight.
As important as it is to not blindly give up your liberties to an overreaching government, I’d at the very least encourage people like this to not preemptively condition their audiences to blindly fight against any and all future government responses to highly contagious and serious viruses.
