I was actually okay with the Weiss hire. But I wasn't as down on Snit as most. Snit won a friggin world series for us. He had some ability as a manager. However, I do feel he faded in intensity at the end.
Weiss has brought the intensity back. He learned lessons in clubhouse leadership from Snit but has combined that with a hunger for wins and a willingness to use analytics that Snit didn't have.
Weiss has been strong. This team is absolutely rallying around him.

There are quite a few games this year, where in the past it would just feel like we're going through the motions. Would make a comeback if we created our own luck. But with Weiss making moves mid game and late innings, it makes it definitely feel different as if yes he is chasing wins.
Even the last few years with Snit, the games would go relatively the same.
1) Rely on starter to go min 5 innings.
2) Offense has to give us a lead before going to the bullpen.
3) If 1 and 2 aren't met, then it's a crapshoot.
Weiss using Suarez in high leverage earlier in the game in LA... and then like tonight he brought in the bench out to pinch hit and it paid off.
Snit never utilized the full roster like this before, and deployed his like Weiss has, except maybe in 2021 when everyone felt the front office was micromanaging him in the second half and playoffs.

I kinda feel like the 'tackle' was a turning point for this team. It was very early, but the Braves had just lost 3 in a row and that might have gotten the guys fired up. The Braves have gone 24-8 since.

I was not excited for Weiss when he was hired but I remember thinking sometimes the boring hire ends up being the right hire so I chose to be optimistic. He’s awesome.
If he had tackled Soriano like that, the dude would have been in traction.

Couldn't be more impressed with Weiss. I think as someone else posted he is aggressive making shit happen rather than just waiting for shit to happen.
Snit made as many tactical errors in a week as Walt has made all year. Walt is light years better than Snit.
My only real criticisms are that he doesn’t use the DH to rest the entire roster, and he doesn’t seem able to unwind his platoon lineup correctly most of the time.

I have been impressed with the way he uses the bench in the lster innings, though
He does seem to do that decently, and guys have came through big in some of those spots, but sometimes the correct time to unwind the platoon is in the 5th inning with runners on base. That doesn’t seem to ever happen.
He is careful about unwinding platoons too early (before the 7th inning) because he doesn’t want to give the other team a platoon advantage later.
He could probably do it in a higher leverage situation earlier at times, but I understand his reluctance.
There will always be things we disagree with the manager on, but he is consistent and has a reason for the decision, so it’s hard to be too upset about that.
