GDT 5/18/26: Braves @ Marlins - Ritchie Rich Parties in Miami

I really like Richie but the walks are a problem. Let him go down and build a little confidence for a few starts. Every team is gonna get hot and then cool off for a little bit and we are in that stretch right now where the hitters have cooled. This is still a top 3 team in baseball and an a$$ whooping from the Marlins didn't change that.

Over 162 games, you're gonna have games like this. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Just dont let it parlay into something more than this.

he has a horrible whiff rate, he has to nibble or he will get murdered. he needs more velo and better command of his FA to have any hope of not being another Allard type
 
I know pitching matchups are extremely iffy a week out, but if things hold shape, the Braves will be seeing 4 LHP starters in a row:

WAS: Foster Griffin
BOS: Ranger Suarez, Connelly Early, and Payton Tolle
