Let's assume there will be < 60 game regular season

I’m thinking Tomlin will be in the rotation for the first few weeks of the season. Probably in Wrights spot.

Let's assume there will be < 60 game regular season

They sold out already in 1 day. They were only selling for the bottom level between the 2 dugouts. The cardboard cutout would stay in the same seat for the entire season and you would be able to pick it up at the stadium at the end of the season (it would probably be pretty ruined from rain but...

Let's assume there will be < 60 game regular season

And as a pitcher he’ll most likely take a lot longer to get back up to game speed once he’s back as well. We’re probably looking at 2-3 weeks of no Smith at this point.

    Freeman and Touki are back

Freddie gave an account of his symptoms while he was sick. One night he had a fever or 104.5 and he said he said a prayer not to die. Also had body aches, chills, and lost his sense of taste and smell while he was sick. He said he feels fine now and only lost 1 pound while sick.

Let's assume there will be < 60 game regular season

Blue Jays are leaning towards playing their home games in Buffalo now (their AAA affiliate). It was either that or their spring training home in Dunedin but they’re leaning towards Buffalo due to Florida’s virus numbers.

Let's assume there will be < 60 game regular season

Blue Jays denied approval from Canadian government to play home games in Canada. Looking for alternative locations now. Nice to see this happening with only about a week to go. Crazy! But, the entire NHL is coming to Canada to restart their season and post season on the 27th. Seems fishy, eh?

    PUIG TO THE BRAVES

Exactly. It’s still unknown if Freddie will be ready for the beginning of the season. Just because they’ve tested negative doesn’t mean they’re able to immediately be game ready. Rosenthal was saying it’s unclear as to whether Freddie will start the season on the IL.

    PUIG TO THE BRAVES

Now Rosenthal is reporting that the Braves never actually reached an agreement with Puig, they were still working out details and awaiting his COVID test results. He says they’re turning their attention to a left handed bench bat now. Most likely Braves wanted someone who could come into ST...

This is the Braves best lineup since 2003.

And it’s all moot now since the Puig deal has fallen through.

    Freeman and Touki are back

Interesting that Will Smith is still out.

    PUIG TO THE BRAVES

He’s not signing with the Braves due to his COVID diagnosis per CBSSports. The deal is off

    Freeman tests positive

He has to be completely symptom free for 72 hours first. Then he has to have 2 negative tests, 24 hours apart. None of our 4 players (Freeman, Smith, Touki, or Kozma) have passed the 2 negative test threshold yet. They’re all still testing positive even though Touki and Kozma were asymptomatic.

This is the Braves best lineup since 2003.

Correct, because in most scenarios, it’s not an individual statistic. It relies too heavily on the rest of the lineup driving you in. From your logic, let’s run a what-if with Markakis, who you’ve done nothing but bad mouth for the last week. You would think he was the best player ever if the...

This is the Braves best lineup since 2003.

2019 WAR: Donaldson 6.0 and Markakis 1.0 Puig 0.7 and Ozuna 1.9 So yes, Donaldson was better than both of them put together. He was better than all 3 put together.

    PUIG TO THE BRAVES

Agree with this. Riley’s clock also isn’t as important as someone like Pache’s clock.

    PUIG TO THE BRAVES

I really don’t think Freddie will be back by the start of the season. We’re 10 days out from opening day. He needs to be symptom free for 72 hours, then take 2 tests 24 hours apart and be negative in both. Apparently he’s still having symptoms. None of our 4 players have tested negative yet...

    PUIG TO THE BRAVES

Just really shows the Braves don’t want to waste a year of Pache’s clock on this silly season. Makes more sense to bring in Puig, keep Pache in the Gwinnett camp, and then have him be brought up after the Super 2 deadline in 2021.

Let's assume there will be < 60 game regular season

What I’m interested to see is how are teams going to get around the State quarantine guidelines? Like right now, anyone traveling from Georgia to New York would need to quarantine for 14 days. How will the Braves be able to travel to the Mets to open the season without having to abide by that...

Annual Directv/MLB Extra Innings Bitchfest 2020

I did the MLBTV deal this year (the Braves only package) and paid in full prior to the start of the season. I kept waiting for notification from MLB of how they were going to handle refunds and nothing was forthcoming. Had to check the fine print on the website and thankfully they are issuing...
