The thing is it didn't even have to be an ace. Just an innings eating number 4 starter type would be huge right now.

Our luck has been abysmal. I was hoping all the bad luck was spent last season but apparently we're still paying back the luck we needed to win the World Series.

The last two games were basically coin flips and the first game was Hector Neris (aka the guy who shouldn't be on any competently built roster) blowing up. So this series is unfortunate but not indicative (unless we keep Neris on our roster, if we keep him everyone should be fired, he's garbage).

I knew we were gonna lose the second they brought Neris in. I used to love seeing him come in for the Phillies, I knew we'd be rallying. Dude's a bum. A few good spring innings don't change who a guy is.
