If Chipper can move to LF for Castilla then Riley can definitely move there for Bregman

I don't know about a hard salary cap but there should at least be a hard deferral cap on contracts. Maybe like 20 percent max on a single contract and 10 percent max on the 40 man roster

AA is going to pick up several players. The price point needs to be right though. We don't have a lot of great jobs to offer either. 5th starter RH platoon cOF mid leverage pen arm.

It's more that players with handshake agreements with those teams don't want to get left in the cold

For a team that played Soler in the OF? No. Winker is a really bad fielder but his arm is valuable. Looking at baseball savant I'd say he's kinda like what would happen if you combined Acuna's arm value and instincts with Ozuna's sprint speed.

I think AA is going to get some good pieces but he's going to wait out the market. If AA signs Profar Grichuk and Scherzer or something along those lines is the offseason a bust?

I don't disagree. The reason WC is who he is today was because he was traded to the Brewers. They have the best Catcher development in baseball.

I'm guessing the Braves are looking to spend right around 40 million in tax on upgrades this offseason. We're currently 24 under the tax. So that's an extra 16 million. We want to compete but our team will be pretty high variance. If things aren't going well Iglesias Ozuna Johnson and Bummer...

BDLC is definitely a type of guy we need. No risk optionable OF depth

    Golden At Bat rule

I also think that when the Golden AB player is announced the opposing team should have the option to bring in a new pitcher for the Golden AB even if the 3 batter minimum hasn't been met

    Golden At Bat rule

Depends on all the rules. I'd probably say all Acuña if there were no consequences

    Golden At Bat rule

I think if the Golden AB was gonna be a thing it would have to be a crazy double edged sword. Like both players involved have to be removed from the game after the PA. So if the player gets a non HR hit they'd have to be PR for. Also the Golden AB couldn't be taken by a DH

The bigger consideration is that if Kerr was kept on the 40 man roster he'd be paid a MLB salary and gain a whole year of service time next year for a year he's not available to pitch. A minor league deal makes far more sense for the organization. Kerr Ynoa and Salinas are all strong candidates...

I still think AZ is a good trade partner for us. They are looking for a bat to replace Walker and Pederson. They have several SS under team control and the Montgomery contract that they have soured on.

Perdomo will likely be kept. The Braves kept him on the roster for a reason.
