I think it's something a little bigger than Monty. Maybe AA is players for Adames, would solve SS and move Arcia into a bench role. Although certainly worry last year was his career peak. And you're paying for his decline years. But he's still an excellent player.

I'd prefer to go younger at SP, but for 10-15M, you cant do much worse than Uncle Charlie. A top 5 of Sale, Strider, Schwelly, Lopez, and Morton works out just fine. Would leave plenty of money to get a SS and LF'er.

I think AA makes at least one splash this offseason, but not sure it'll come via FA. Although after last years dissapointment, and LA winning, he may be pissed off and make a move or two in FA.

Hyers seems to have a pretty good track record. But the Braves getting Acuna back, having Albies for most of the year, and Riley back will make the offense better than Hyer itself. But AA probably wanted a new approach since the last 3 years in the playoffs, the bats went cold.

Looking at his numbers, good power numbers. Low OBP, but he's a terrific defensive player. But as someone else has said, lot of teams need SS, and he's like the only one on the market. I dont know if AA would pay what it'd take for him though. 6/150 feels low with as many teams in need of a SS...

I mean he's like the only legit SS on the market. I dont think he'd get 6/180 but it's not totally out of the realm of possibility after the season he just had. I dont know if AA would hand out that kind of deal. But he was deep in on Nola last year so who knows.

Not totally surprising. Good hitting team in the regular season but the last 3 seasons in the playoffs, the bats just went ice cold. Someone had to take the blame, guess we'll see who AA has in mind here.

They'd obviously have to pay market value to keep him this time around. He'll be 30-31 when his deal is up so i think the years would be the important thing if they could get a deal done.
