Since we were over the tax, it's in the 4th round.

Thats a big time deal. Good for Max, Heyman was right that Max was getting 200M or may have been Morosi. But no way AA is doing that.

If Houston cant come to an extension with Tucker, then it would make sense to actually move him. Basically the Rays model. But obviously going to depend what kind of return they're getting. I dont know who is offering a ton of their top guys if it's known Tucker wants to hit free agency.

Sounds like the Mets are in the mix as well, and they'd have to give up at least the other Acuna plus more. If Boston has Mayer on the table, and it's from their side, i think they'd be the favorites. Depending what else is in the deal.

Ken says Fried's nearing a decision. Red Sox, Jays, and Yanks in the mix, among others. People will blame AA or call him cheap but he's making the right move letting Max walk given his injury past and playoff struggles other than his masterclass Game 6.

I'd be okay with Ward but i think we can do better. No idea who that player is though.

I think they move him. I'd make a play for Luis Robert, would be a little risky since he's kinda like some of our other hitters but if the price is non-Baldwin, i'd do it.

Even if thats true, i would also. I have some long-term concerns with Crochet holding up.

Rosenthal says Yankees, Mets, others interested in Crochet. Behind a paywall, so idk who else is involved. But most Braves stuff doesnt get leaked, but i have some concerns with Crochet lasting long-term. Would imagine the price is crazy if the White Sox turned down a 60 and 50FV from the Padres.

Soto went for this, for 1 year. Best player here is King. Baldwin, AJJS, and some other lower tier players would get Tucker. Not that i'd do that deal w/o an extension.

Yeah, this. The benefit of having a rookie QB on their contract is you get to reap having him so cheap you can load up on other pieces on your roster. If they were gonna take Penix, they should have took him and signed a stop guy. Not giving Cousins that money even if they can get out after year 2.

He has 1 year left of control, not two. But i think Baldwin plus would get it done.

Only way i'd trade for Tucker is if you can extend him. Otherwise, no. Framber Valdez would make sense if the prospect cost isnt too crazy.

On the surface, not much. But AA didnt clear all that money for ****s and giggles. He'll make some moves, that no one is thinking of. Like Sale.

    Offseason Hot Stove 2024-25 Thread

We were missing a very key player like all year. Unless we we're missing all of our good players for an extended period, Braves are at worst 2nd right now. And AA hasnt even made any moves to improve the team, yet. Which he always does. Braves are like top 3 in alot of WS odds right now, and...

Idk if they'll bring back Alonso, with Soto. But hopefully the offseason can now begin with Soto off the board.
