How long was he locked up before deportation? Of course they had time. He came back because he was under protected status from going to El Salvador. He can still be deported to another country.

If Garcia's lawyers were serious they could have filed a Habeas Corpus when he was to be deported which is their only recourse under the Alien Sedition Act. Why didn't they?
