The challenge is not to trade a young pitcher who could become a Wainwright for another mediocre pitcher. I am only in on adding a starter if he’s a legit number one. Otherwise, I’m good.

I get it. My thinking is that he doesn’t really show his stuff when starting. In one inning, he can air it out like he did innthat one inning in the playoffs. That was the only reason I considered it. And I know one inning doesn’t mean anything but why not try it in ST if we haven’t dealt him...

No, and Minter was a rookie. He should be better. We also have O’Day. Again, I’m putting Teheran in the pen. He may could even close. Who knows?

I would do Riley/Gohara/Flowers. No more than that. I might swap out Jackson with Flowers in case they would rather have the young guy.

Maybe the 3-way fell through. I think the Marlins are probably being unreasonable and am a little surprised the Braves are still in it. Deep down, the Marlins know we have more to offer.

I know that we need another outfielder but if we just realize that we have Duvall/Camargo who can give us great defense and decent offense, maybe we need to be focusing more on a starter and a couple of relievers. Maybe that’s our ace in the hole and the reason AA hasn’t jumped on a deal yet.

I’m impressed with AA so far. No panic. On another note and not to hijack, but did y’all feel the earthquake? Woke me up at 4:15.

The Reds have some good relievers but we can’t create another outfield hole. I wonder what was being discussed.
