I think Profar is going to cost more than we think, but it’s still the best move to make. We’ve gone quantity over quality with the other needs hoping the law of averages play in our favor but that wasn’t an option with the OF.

I’m still thinking we’re resetting and have $20M to spend on one move.

The Bregman article on MLBTR does a pretty good job breaking down how that decision alone is holding up other theoretical decisions. There’s a lot still to happen. I’m hoping one of these signings or trades will create our opportunity. It’s getting so hard to keep faith though!

We’ve stockpiled relievers, #5SP, and MIF in AAA. We have no OF depth. I’m thinking if we’re only making 1 move it’s gong to be OF. Profar seems to make the most sense.

It’s hard to think of positively now since we haven’t done anything for the big club, but we’ve done a very good job of providing depth and off roster talent remaking the AAA squad.

From his “speak” I’d say RP and LF are more likely than a SP or SS. Also, it sounds like trade is more likely than FA signing.

Gwinnett now has 3 SS, 2 2B, and a 3rd baseman who can play 2B and SS. That’s not counting Nacho.

The Twins have to shed payroll, so they’re going to have to make a move. I’ve wondered if they’re our hold up, since we have so many targets on their roster.

A going cheap move could’ve been signing Scott and using Iggy for another upgrade.

So operating off having $20M to spend this offseason what moves could we make to “go cheap” ?

Hyesong Kim has until Jan 3rd to be signed. He won a gold glove at SS before moving to 2B. West Coast team bias in play though with Angels, Padres, and Ms all in on him.

There are 5 guys on the Twins we could use Pablo, Correa, Wallner, Larnach and Castro.

Jeff Hoffman as a starter or a trade for Pablo Lopez are the only options left
