Collins is on the best team in baseball and is ahead of Baldwin in fWAR by a non trivial margin: 3.1 vs 2.3 It may not end up being close in the end but Collins has pretty clearly been better overall thus far… lucky or not.

Apparently he's changed his mechanics (lowered his leg kick a couple weeks ago) and has switched almost exclusively to a 2-seamer FB instead of the 4-seamer that was getting rocked. He's also throwing his split more in the majors than the minors so maybe there was something to the narrative that...
