    GDT 9-15: Braves in DC

I mean you gotta have some sort of idea before picking him up. He's a boras guy, so that's it - he's done as a brave if he opts out

GDT 9-14: Astros at Braves Finale

    Harris trend line with wrc+... 2023: 1st half - 94, 2nd half - 135 wrc+ 2024: 1st half - 81, 2nd half - 125 wrc+ 2025: 1st half - 47, 2nd half - 119 wrc+ He's basically a half a season guy, and it's the short half

GDT 9-14: Astros at Braves Finale

Not if we also knew that 2nd place among position guys was 2.2 fWAR and Harris was sporting a 0.6 fWAR in 147 games. Harris has a 74 wrc+ and .258 obp. He can't be counted on next season

GDT 9-14: Astros at Braves Finale

And yall argued with me then that the fWAR difference between the 2 was base running, which benefited your argument

GDT 9-14: Astros at Braves Finale

We differ in that I think 1b offense is more important than 1b defense. Now a total butcher certainly changes things, but give me better offense over better defense.

GDT 9-14: Astros at Braves Finale

When did I say I expect it as the norm? 2023 is what i define as "very good/great" offensively. This season is defined as "good", and in case you didn't know (and yall don't seem to), "good" is a good thing.

2nd in fWAR 1st in def value 4th in off value 4th in wrc+ 7th in xwoba 4th in woba 9th in iso Top 5, not #1. In what world is top 5 at his position an insult?

By what metric? He's certainly top 5.

GDT 9-14: Astros at Braves Finale

Career iso - .249, this season - .195 Career ops - .857, this season - .833 Career slg - .506, this season - .466 Career babip - .289, this season - .336 He's hit fly balls at a career low rate this season and ground balls at a career high. It's no accident the power is down. He needs to go...

GDT 9-14: Astros at Braves Finale

Here we go again arguing on subjective crap. He had a good offensive season, and a great defensive season. Career low (throwing out rookie season) in iso. We need 35-40 hrs from him

GDT 9-14: Astros at Braves Finale

Drop the really, and I'll agree with good. Olson needs to be 35-40 hrs a season

GDT 9-13: Ace Elder vs. Astros

Spoilers! Baldwin ain't winning shit. The braves will pick in the worst possible spot in the lottery. AA will draft some POS to save money in the 3rd round.

Thanks for the posi thoughts. This team makes me hate sunshine

    GDT 9-12: Astros at Braves

L And they were absolutely horrible the first half when the pitching was healthy. This team is a plague. The world would be a better place if every player was euthanized

    2025 Around The League Thread

The braves and Mets are in competition to see who can kill more of their fanbase this season. Not sure which season I would prefer - total ineptitude (braves) or slow kill (Mets, assuming they lose out on WC). Think I would prefer slow kill... at least I would be watching meaningful games right now

    GDT 9-12: Astros at Braves

I get it. Having a big time pick would be awesome. I'm just really concerned that we now have our SS, so our lineup is basically set for next season. We still keep losing. That's concerning to me. I would like to see this team play well down the stretch to feel better about this team

    GDT 9-12: Astros at Braves

Losers lose. Winners win. I will never actively pull for my team to be a loser. I would rather end the abomination with a good taste in our mouth heading into the offseason. Winning isn't like a water faucet... you can't just turn it on and off at will.

    GDT 9-12: Astros at Braves

Celebrating our young pitcher getting mauled is something. If you get a good pick at the expense of having a trash team, not really seeing why it's a good thing.
