We know it was GM speak but AA has no doubt made a list of candidates he wants. Schumaker would be a start to a new era imo and away from the good Ol boys club and I don't know if McGuirk will let that happen. He may want a guy from the past to come in.

I still think Baldwin is ahead but he needs to have today off and then have a really hot finish to the year.

Baldwin is an everyday player and is a catcher so he should get more votes than a pitcher should if they have both had good season. I still think it's Baldwin's to lose at this point.

I'd agree if Boras wasn't his agent. Boras always likes to gable and with how bad the SS market is somebody will give him 3-4 years.

That and SS is gonna be super crowded next year so they are giving him a little separation. They could also be concerned that Kim will reject the option and are pushing him a little bit.

3 years is crazy. I don't see how he was still crouching behind the plate. March-June is when we can probably expect him back depending on how bad the tear is.

This season and last had to of taken a big toll on Snit and after so many years doing it I'd hang it up.
