I don't disagree with that. Fans get too caught up in "he throws the ball downfield, he's better." My concerns with Cousins would be mainly that at his peak, he was a slightly above average QB that would kill bad teams and **** the bed in big games. Now, he's coming off a major injury with...

Im a big fan of taking BPA but Im not sure that Penix was that guy and I think you make an exception when its a QB you just signed to a huge contract. Plus you already had the GOAT, Taylor Heinicke.

Mahomes always has a low number. Likely in part because teams are scared to let him beat them deep. Those aren't QBs that push the ball downfield.

While I think it overrated as a talking point (air yards, deep passing), he really did not throw the ball deep often in Minny either. https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/advanced-stats-qb.php?team=MIN&year=2021

FWIW- Cousins isn’t (or wasn’t) a down the field guy. I know the Redskins were constantly on him about not looking downfield. He may be able to work the intermediate area with London

Fair enough. That is assuming he comes back off that injury at his age. Likely but time will tell.

Jayson Tatum- 0 minutes again. Probably the most overrated player in the NBA.

You still cant call a team good? They gotta be the best? OKC defense was solid, possibly the back end of the top 10. They add a couple good defensive/role players. Tops in the league? We will see, that is a really big jump. There is not a decent dropoff between OKC and the...

Based on Ridder of last year, almost anyone is an upgrade. But, be careful with Cousins, he's gonna look like a pro bowl QB for a couple weeks (assuming he returns 100%) and then completely **** the bed if the game is important.

Well all it takes is one to not be "hands down clearly the best" but Denver, Boston, Minny, and possibly Dallas have to be in the conversation. OKC just lost to Dallas and added a couple really good role players. I like what Dallas has done as well so its not like someone can say OKC is...

yeah, they have had a good offseason but clearly not the "hands down best team in the league"

Cousins is really good if the game is meaningless.

What QBs are performing at 45? Yes, Brady was pretty good later in his career but still saw a dropoff....but it was a dropoff from the GOAT to a decent starter. Rodgers held on a little bit but dropped off in the 30s. Other pro bowl type QBs are dropping off in the early-to-mid 30s. The best...

My guess is the depth of the Celtics win due to having superior depth, but the Mavs will have the best 2 players on the court plus some decent role players
