Interesting trade. Personally, I'm not sure the extra offense you get from Duvall in the platoon is enough of an offset from what I see as a slight step back on defense from the Inciarte CF, Acuna LF alignment. Add to that, Inciarte has been a better second half performer during his career...

I'm trying to be open-minded about this move, but I think there's a less then 50% chance this goes well. My biggest concern is Bautista's defense at 3B. We are willfully downgrading our defense at that position now, which I just don't get. Camargo and Flaherty are better all-around options...

This is about as good as it gets for Wisler. Good command of multiple pitches. I still question whether he can put guys away consistently. We only need a couple starts from him though, and definitely feeling better about his ability to give us that after these first 3 innings.

Well, after watching this AA interview . . . it seems like they are expecting Bautista to come up and be the 3B once he gets adequate ABs at an affiliate and if he doesn't fall flat on his face. Hmm. 986748802064355329

Seems very unrealistic that Bautista can be an adequate 3B. More likely, he helps us as an insurance policy if Freeman or Markakis get hurt in the coming weeks.

I've never been too high on Ramirez, but he's earned a few mulligans. Jackson was always just a mop-up / garbage-time option. Would have no problem DFA'ing him tomorrow even it he pitched okay today.

I think a loss like this devastates your team on a normal day. Given the craziness of these conditions, I think it'll make it easier to shake it off and move on.

This obviously sucks, but with the absolute craziness of these conditions . . . makes it hard to feel like any of these guys is a huge goat for blowing this lead. Sure would be nice to get to the 9th tied.

I think Snit's in game management has improved, but there have still been a few head-scratchers. Also, he has an 8-man pen that has performed pretty well. When the team hit's a rough patch and a few of the bullpen arms are struggling, I'll be interested to see how well he does navigating those...

Man, Sanchez is crafty as hell this year. He's commanding several pitches. You'd think the league will catch up to this 2.0 version of Anibal in another month or two though. That should work out fine though with our young guys at AAA.
