If you already have Directv with a dvr, I think it will give you a more user friendly experience to watch Braves games. Better picture quality, easy fast forward/rewind. I had it for several years, but since I don't have Directv right now, I went with MLBtv
Not to change the subject, but anyone else annoyed by the fact that if you watch the game later in the day or next day, you still have to sit through 2 minutes of "commercial break in progress"? I could understand if you were watching commercials that were paying for the service but 2 minutes of...
Heyward needs to prove he can be consistant offensively before getting that big contract. Yes, he's great defensively, but he's also a very big dude. How many more great defensive years do you think his body has left? 2? 3? 4 if he's lucky? Then he's just an average defensive guy and if he...
Being home sick and not much happening, I ended up on espn.com checking mlb news. They have a top 10 at each position. Looking at the catcher position, they have McCann ranked 3rd, a jump up from 7th last year.
I guess, being a Braves fan for 20+ years I should be used to espn's Yankee bias, but...

Is this out of the blue? Don't remember hearing anything about this.
But, but... It's because it's going to devalue his property, not because it's bad for the environment or anything like that.
I've watched a couple of the documentaries about it and it's pretty sad that they are still allowed to do it.
I'm as happy as the next guy about signing our best young guys to extensions, but there has to be a limit right? The more young guys we sign, the greater the possibility of having bad contracts later on. Let's say we have 7 or 8 of the young guys locked up by next year this time. What happens if...
With all of the attention that decision got, there's no way that happens again. If anything, I think he might end up overusing Kimbrel in the postseason in the future.
This extension means that the best years of what could be the best closer in history (best few years, no offence to Mo) will be with the Braves. Hope we can win a world series in the next five years!
The Freeman and Teheran extensions, to me, meant that the braves were just trying to save money over the next few years. Kimbrel, I believe, means that they are willing to spend more on payroll and hopefully move forward as a competitive team.
