Zero definitive proof that Alonso touched the plate. Zero.

GDT 8/6/22 Game 2: Braves @ Mutts - Interesting Choices

This is the luckiest dam team ever. They’ve hit 1 ball hard tonight. 1.

GDT 8/6/22 Game 2: Braves @ Mutts - Interesting Choices

All teams, even good teams go through these lulls during the season. Riley and Olson carried this team through July when nobody else was hitting. The Braves just dug such a big hole to start the season they can’t afford any now.

    2022 Trade Deadline

Turner is the guy I want the most. His bat plays anywhere. If Grissom can handle SS for a couple years you can even put Turner in LF. He’s a great hitter. It also keeps the team athleticism sky high. Harris, Acuna, Albies, Turner, Grissom can all really run.

100% correct. It was right in line with expected surplus valuations.

    2022 Trade Deadline

Basically look at the Olsen deal and add a true premium prospect to it. That’s what Soto is worth. 70-100 mm surplus value. If they stupidly attach Corbin to it it’s 50-80 mm surplus. Then you are right back to similar package as Olsen trade.

    Minor league thread

Braves have hit on more homegrown star level talent than basically any organization in the game. Past 5 years, 10 years, 20 years.

GDT 5-31: MR. CHARLIE TOLD ME SO

Replay guy literally has one job. And can’t even do that. If they lose by one that guy should be fired. That’s ridiculous

GDT 5-31: MR. CHARLIE TOLD ME SO

How do the Braves replay guys not catch the missed touch if 2nd base? Just terrible. Come on guys.

Michael Harris gets the call to the show!

Wow. Didn’t see that coming this quickly. Thought he would get some run in AAA. Braves have had alot of success in the past with this approach. Let’s go Kid.

What Would A "Fair" Freeman Extension Look Like?

It would appear as if the Braves gave Freeman a final offer and a time frame to accept said offer. He didn’t accept and they pulled the trigger on Olsen. I would imagine it was a 5 year 135-140mm deal. Freeman was stuck on 6. Basically ended up with the Dodgers as only real bidders.

Certainly looks that way. If he wanted to be a brave, he would have been.

    Matt Olson to Braves!

There is an above average chance Olson will be better than Freeman in 22 and 23. Olson is a stud. Now use that 15 million saved to upgrade the OF.

    Acuña and Albies

This is 100% true. They have to go back and pay this guy better. It’s criminal the deal he signed. AA could double his salary and he would still be vastly underpaid.

GDT 10/31/21: Braves vs Astros - World Series Game 5

We have a dam off day tomorrow. Why are we pitching t he e worst guys we have on the roster?

GDT 10/31/21: Braves vs Astros - World Series Game 5

It’s literally like they were just hoping to win here, but no urgency.
