7/18/15: GDT - Chicago Cubs @ Atlanta Braves

Chris Johnson looked like a girl on the ball. That wasn't a blazing shorthop. That was a long bounce. IMO SHOULD HAVE been caught by a major league infielder.

    GDT 5/9/15 ATL @ WAS 4:05 ET

Didn't see the game but what is up with Theran? Maybe he lost his mojo because now he's on a sucky team? I'm just surprised.

4/28/15 MLB GDT Braves/Nats: Teheran on the bump(Julio Pic)/Some lineup consistency!

I will say, I hope Dan Uggla isn't feeling like he's Mr. Macho and "**** you Braves country" or anything like that. The Braves stayed with him as long as they could. It's his own fault he signed a damn phat ass contract and was too damn consumed and overwhelmed and let it get to him to live up...

4/28/15 MLB GDT Braves/Nats: Teheran on the bump(Julio Pic)/Some lineup consistency!

It's okay... I mean, it's just a closer's role right? No need for Kimbrel, he's done in like 2 or 3 years right? That's what the Braves thought In Grilli's defense, he's been well for us becoming the unexpected closer for us this season. His head maybe wasn't in the game like usual as he was...

4/28/15 MLB GDT Braves/Nats: Teheran on the bump(Julio Pic)/Some lineup consistency!

Yep... Maybe this will settle some fans down. We came outta the gate unexpectedly playing well but lets not forget. We were expected to lose 100 games this year. I was telling people we were Pretenders, not Contenders. While we have some nice talent on our club. It's not a team that's gonna...

4/28/15 MLB GDT Braves/Nats: Teheran on the bump(Julio Pic)/Some lineup consistency!

This is the weirdest thing.... You could almost feel that coming the entire at bat. It was just too perfect a scenerio. Dan Uggla, been booed all series and hated, go ahead run, Nats been coming back all game... It was scripted

    Kimbrel/Melvin Trade Thread

Yep the 9th inning is overrated. Those GM's like Cashman, Schuerholz and all the other considered greats of the game are so stupid for paying those 9th inning guys those big bucks. You should have their jobs

    Kimbrel/Melvin Trade Thread

Yea, what was the point? And I don't think we've done the best job of getting good enough prospects back in return for what we've given up I mean remember a time that Adam Wainwright was worth...... J.D Drew!!!! We've traded away at least 2 guys better than J.D was at the time we acquired him

    Kimbrel/Melvin Trade Thread

There's late inning... And then there's the 9th.... You ever notice how some 7th and 8th inning relievers are so good and then the team tries to make them a closer and they're not as good? Because of the adrenaline of finishing up and trying to lock down a win? Idk, it might work out. RIGHT NOW...

    Kimbrel/Melvin Trade Thread

I understand getting rid of Melvin money.... But not at the cost of Kimbrel.... I guess the Braves think closers like that just grow on trees... I mean, the luxury of knowing the game is OVER if you're ahead in the 9th.... Oh, the Braves don't know what they're gonna be missing in a few years...

    Kimbrel/Melvin Trade Thread

I'm sorry but I cannot for the life of me see why we wouldn't keep Kimbrel at all cost... He was the BEST in baseball and is only 27! Dominant closers ARE NOT easy to find.... We hadn't had one since Smoltz I've lost all respect for John Hart

Gattis Traded To Astros (pg. 13)

Interesting perspectives in here.... All I have to say is.... Hey, We're lucky. As a kid born in the mid-80's, I've never had to see my favorite team rebuild before. We've been spoiled. Still retaining the nucleus. Kimbrel, Freeman, Simmons, Teheran.... Gonna be tough watching us just sorta...

Smoltz elected to Cooperstown along with Pedro, Unit, and Biggio.

Halladay isn't going. Not enough wins. Moose.... one thing in his favor is he flirted with 300 wins and almost his entire career was right smack in the middle of the steroid era.... I wasn't shocked but wasn't sure if Pedro was gonna get in or not only because of longevity. The last of his...

He should probly get there himself eventually. He'll b borderline. He's not first ballot (which is why he hasn't gone in already) but he definitely should eventually squeak in there

Smoltz elected to Cooperstown along with Pedro, Unit, and Biggio.

Hey it's not like it was a terrible trade for the Tigers as they got exactly what they wanted for that year. A guy to put them over the hump to get into the playoffs. Obviously, they have no idea that they're giving up a future Hall of Famer in the process but hey... hindsight is 20/20

Smoltz elected to Cooperstown along with Pedro, Unit, and Biggio.

He's going in as a D-back.... Not so sure I wouldn't feel a bit shunned if I was a Mariner's fan. That's where he made his name.... Not saying either or... But that to me is a harder decision than it was for Maddux..... And even Maddux couldn't choose between his two main teams

This is the best Braves news I've heard in a while.... So glad for Smoltz Other 3 too... Biggio, classy 2nd baseman for the Astros.... little but deadly. Not a big fan of his arm guard in later years And Randy and Pedro.... I remember in the late 90's, early 00's... Those were the two starters...
