yeah...but here is the thing about that.....the administration didn't like/want Lewis....you the FAN, did. I trust them and their evaluations...you know, since they worked him out in person and have much more experience that us.
De La Cruz s going tonight. Yeah Iron Pigs is a legit name. I am in the foundry business and its huge here in PA where I am this week. We use "Pig iron" in the melting process to make molten metal...I am kinda thinking that might be partial origin for the name.
I am just outside of Allentown, PA this week for work. I was informed today that they are treating me to a ball game tonight, the local (ish) AAA team. And as it turns out, the Iron Pigs are playing the Gwinnett Braves tonight!!!
I am literally saving my last pick for him. I know he isn't going to see all the save opportunities right away...but probably cannot lose with him as the last pick.
Not only the Arb clock...but also giving Nick a chance to prove that his loss of power last year was injury driven, and that his value is higher now with a full offseason.
meh...I tend to disagree. I think we should be about done with large trades unless someone comes in and blows the doors off. I think we have a really solid foundation, plus if they plan to add big July 2nd that will further solidify the farm, plus a good draft....
I just think we need to work...
I agree with this, I think that Inciarte is a slower version that we hope Mallex becomes. But I feel Inciarte will play better defense in center than Mallex, and if we were to fall into or get a better center fielder...Inciarte is a better 4th outfielder as well.
The only reason this would make sense is if the front office values him more due to being on outfielder. He would be the top outfield prospect on day 1, and we don't have anyone like him on the farm. Whereas we do have some talent at 3rd (not maitan talent....but if Riley puts up a solid season...
