I highly doubt we were even considered in this at all without at least one of them in an offer.

I saw that Teel was in the deal from Boston and was mad we didn’t do that with Baldwin as the headliner. But we couldn’t match the rest of the package Boston gave up. Bummer.

Just a reminder from last offseason - Cease is a Boras guy.

Ward makes a lot of sense for us. Wouldn't be surprised if we get him.

    Offseason Hot Stove 2024-25 Thread

Jayson Stark put out his annual MLB executive survey. Not a ton of Braves stuff that's surprising - most think Fried is gone. The Crochet topic was the most interesting. He polled 18 executives - Mets had the most picks with 5 but the Braves were second with 4. Here's what he wrote about the...

    Offseason Hot Stove 2024-25 Thread

LaMonte Wade is on the trade block, per Passan. If AA thinks he can handle left field, I think he would be a pretty solid strong side of a platoon. He can really hit against righties.

We won't know he's back until he can stay in a rundown for two full minutes.

Joe Jimenez had knee surgery, out 8-12 months. Free agency is three hours old, and we’ve already suffered a season ending injury. The most Braves outcome ever.

Braves declined d'Arnaud's $8 million option, per Passan.

    Looking towards 2025

I would imagine AA is at least talking to his agent about it, and that’s probably why we haven’t seen any news about the Braves picking up his option since it’s such a no brainer.

    Lopez And Bummer Resigned

Looks like zero impact on the tax number, but frees up money for 2025.

    Jorge Soler to the Angels

Bowman wrote today that Morton may be leaning towards returning now and could get a $10-15 million contract. I would assume that decision would take us out of the SP market elsewhere and give us plenty of money to add offense.

    Jorge Soler to the Angels

Wouldn't be surprised if Canning is dealt elsewhere or maybe even non-tendered. Soler's money being gone is the big thing. It's interesting to me how little AA trades for other team's prospects. Would've rather had a minor league lottery ticket or two rather than Canning, but at least the money...

For sure, I don't blame you for feeling that way. Not trying to sell him as a future stud or anything, just that I'm open to be optimistic with him just because how bad the Miami staff is.

    2024 Minor League Thread

I follow college baseball in the state of Florida really closely, and I'm not exaggerating when I say the Miami staff is criminally bad at pitching development. Hernandez is really interesting to me. Alejandro Rosario is a similar case - big time recruit, horrendous numbers at Miami and now a...
