For sure. I didn’t watch any tonight but people on Twitter saying Murphy was 92-93. It’s not hard to imagine him adding some velo since he’s still 20, although he doesn’t have the projectable frame that others do. Will definitely be an interesting guy to follow and see how Double A hitters react...
He’s only 20, but I can’t imagine Owen Murphy is in Rome for much longer. Time to test him in Double A. 7 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 10 K tonight.
On the season: 24 IP, 9 H, 3 ER, 6 BB, 37 K. The 37 K are top three in the entire minor leagues.
More on Sena - Baseball America had a writeup today on some of the top 2026/2027 signees in the Dominican recently.
"Dominican shortstop Alfredo Sena (Braves, eligible to sign Jan. 15, 2027) should get one of the biggest bonuses in his class and was the star of the tournament, leading the...
Would imagine Kuehler is in Rome pretty quickly as a college draft pick last year.
Benitez look good at the plate to you, Deester? Stats look good so far. Really hoping he can have a breakout year.
Excited to see Kuehler is starting for Augusta tonight. No Rome pitcher announced yet, but Lucas Braun is the only one of their starter prospects who hasn't thrown so I would guess him. JJ Neikro starting in Mississippi.
Schwellenbach: 6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K. Eight outs on the ground, two in the air.
Hard not to be really excited about the arms in Rome. And we haven’t seen Lucas Braun or Jhoncaros Lara yet.

Sabin Ceballos starting here, but a rough group of hitters. Hopefully Ambioris Tavarez can take a step forward finally.
Braun, Hackenberg, Schwellenbah, Murphy likely the four starters. No Jhoncarlos Lara on here, wonder if he's...
Augusta roster is out: https://x.com/GreenJackets/status/1776263624102682899
Kuehler starting at Low A, top-10 round high schoolers Isiah Drake and Garrett Baumann here as well. And the long-awaited debut of Adam Maier here as well. Also looks like Beau Philip is transitioning to a pitcher.
Smith-Shawver is starting for Gwinnett tonight.
Still no Double A roster but they have probable pitchers announced. Ian Mejia starts tonight, Waldrep debuts on Sunday.
I'm not really sure why they're so secretive about everything. A lot of other teams have Twitter accounts dedicated to their minor league systems and post game highlights from minor league spring games with data and everything. The Braves try so hard to make everything a secret.
