Hayden Harris Time! And a couple of other moves.

So looking at the way too small sample size of the Harris data... still have no idea how he managed a sub 1 ERA over 50 innings in AAA.. Munoz on the other hand.. the data loves him as much as the eye tests do. That sinker is excellent. and he pairs it with a pretty good Slider. He...

Maybe AA feels that if Twit leaves, he would become the dumbest in the org.

Hayden Harris Time! And a couple of other moves.

I am glad we finally get to see him.. but he is from the Savanah bananas and literally having the season of his life. Interested to see why he is doing so well though.. 50 innings is a big enough sample to notice a sub 1 ERA...

NL Rookie of the Year Watch

sort of agree with CJ.. AA has shown that he doesn't like dealing with QO's.. But I would also not let something like that get in the way of a player that I really wanted. But it does seem that you can navigate that by looking at players of similar value that don't have a QO attached. is...

NL Rookie of the Year Watch

So say the Braves land the #5 pick or better and the PPI pick for ROY... do you guys want AA to sign a QA player in the off season to lose that PPI pick and the extra 3+ million... or does that change how you want AA spends over the next off season to try and protect that money.

    GDT 9-1: Braves at Cubs

As someone who loves to bitch.. I even find the Harris bitching a bit confusing... Harris has looked much better overall since his adjustments.. sure we would love for him to not swing at so many balls, but he is like number 78 on the list of things that could be fixed. Worry about the...

    2025-2026 offseason thread

I wouldn't be upset with working a cheaper AAV 2 year deal to let the prospect SS work themselves out. maybe even a nice team option for a 3rd year just in case the Braves need a 2B as well.

    2025-2026 offseason thread

I think even with a big Sept, he wouldn't turn down the guarantee of 16 million. This is a good pillow deal that would allow him to show he is really healthy and get a bigger contract. If he went out on the FA market with 100 or so PA, he would not get 16 million AAV imo..

    GDT 9-1: Braves at Cubs

Drake had a better game. Harris was a huge problem the first half. He made some adjustments and has look a lot better. Hitting ball hard to all fields. I am not as worried about him now. Plenty of other holes to worry about.

    GDT 9-1: Braves at Cubs

Harris having a cool spell after post a plus 1000 ops is not a big deal. Let’s worry about real shit like this garage pen that is coming back next year.

If he exercises his option would t the Rays be on the hook for him? Not 100% on that.

GDT 8-31: Waldrep on Sunday Night Baseball

I think you will see spurts of old self.. but conditioning, training, timing.. all things that are hard to get back. I hope this isn't the version of Strider/Acuna we are seeing next year.

GDT 8-31: Waldrep on Sunday Night Baseball

he sucked coming back from the first knee.. expecting guys to be themselves after significant time out is dumb.. AA was dumb.. I want to see Strider/Acuna/Ozzie/Riley next year after a normal offseason... well I guess Riley won't.. Same reason I don't expect incredible things from Schwelly...

GDT 8-31: Waldrep on Sunday Night Baseball

eh.. I don't think 100 pitches is over doing it. Not sure his season high, nor if he is pushing high in innings pitched.. but him going out there close to the end of his night and still throwing quality pitches is encouraging. even when he got hosed on "strike" one to Bohm.. he didn't get...

GDT 8-31: Waldrep on Sunday Night Baseball

there is more than that.. he just didn't start throwing strikes and getting quality outs because some meth head said throw a cutter.. I get that it was good for him, but there has to be more.. And it could be working with Meth that has brought him along. he maybe is learning sequencing from...
