We don't know that he didn't ask to talk to Schumaker. He may have been turned down by the Rangers or may have been informed that he was t interested in going anywhere but Texas. AA is a smart dude and I'm guessing he reached out.

AA never tells anybody what he's doing or talking to so I would expect the same here. Anybody that thinks AA hasn't t had conversations with people already have their head in the sand.

As long as Chipper is brought in as the hitting coach and I'd like to see Rick brought back as the pitching coach. Maybe EY would come back to coach a base since Wash is gone in LA.

Lombard is definitely interesting. I think AA is gonna want his guy and not somebody currently in the system. Lombard is probably a top 5 candidate right now with Schumaker out.

It seems like every time one of our hitters go into a slump Chipper is credited for helping them get out of it. He won't be perfect bc nobody is but there's nobody else I'd trust in the role more than Larry.

Chipper saying what he said is him saying he wants to be hitting coach for whoever they hire and it should 100% happen. Chipper would keep those guys in line and he brings that winning pedigree the guys would completely listen to.

I think the Rangers not announcing Schumaker is weird. They brought him in the take over for Bochy. That's a good sign for us imo. Maybe Shumaker was contacted by AA or is interested in the Braves job instead
