I keep seeing this revisionist history. In 2022 it wasn’t the offense. They averaged 3.25 runs per game in that series, which is about what you’d expect in the playoffs. The pitching allowed 6 runs a game. They had no shot. Now 2023? Yes, the offense absolutely shit the bed.
