We may need to put a more emphasis on the bench but the team is built to have the starters play the majority of its games. However, guys like Laureano and Merrfield played well once we got them. Getting rid of TDA so Snit cant platoon or play him over Murphy all the time was probably a needed...

How many teams could afford to survive the injuries the Braves had this past year? It was a minor miracle they won 89 games given who was missing all year.

Losing JJ will be tough, he was nails this past year. But bullpen guys arent usually too hard to find or expensive. But the wrong ones can screw you over. AA's usually pretty good at building a bullpen though, so i trust him.

Yeah, Miller is the dream trade target. No idea what it'd cost though.

Best case, hope hes back for July/September to ramp up for the playoffs. Certainly puts bullpen as a bigger hole with Minter most likely gone also.

Waldrep for Devin Williams? I kid, i kid... Maybe. Does put bullpen as a bigger need now with JJ out for most of next year.

Yeah, Cole clears Fried by a good bit. Other than Game 6 of the WS where Fried was incredible, legendary game that may get his jersey retired in Atlanta. He's been quite underwhelming in the postseason. There's a reason the Yankees signed Cole quickly.

Soto just turned 26, waits for age jokes. So i could see the team that gets him, give him a 13-14 year deal that pushes up to 600M to lower the AAV. A 13-14 year deal would put it at around 42-46 a year. Spotrac has us at 176 on the tax, but thats with TDA on it, and Laureano and Canning as...

Cole staying with the Yankees, terms not disclosed yet.

A little surprised we declined TDA's option, but with Baldwin waiting in the wings. And Snit doing the stupid platoon and never playing Murphy on a consistent basis, it had to be done. Not sure what AA's gonna do with the extra money. But we only have like 3-4 real holes to fill: SP, LF, SS...

Yeah, i'd be surprised if Soto isnt playing in NY next year. Braves technically could do that contract but i cant see AA being the high bidder even though Soto would make so much sense for the Braves.

Currently at 195 in payroll but 215 in overall number, but thats with Canning and Laureano as well as Luke Jackson's numbers on there as well. With the money saved, you could probably bring back RL at that number, although could see AA try to get him back at a lower number on a 2 year deal. In...

    Lopez And Bummer Resigned

I think it's something a little bigger than Monty. Maybe AA is players for Adames, would solve SS and move Arcia into a bench role. Although certainly worry last year was his career peak. And you're paying for his decline years. But he's still an excellent player.

    Lopez And Bummer Resigned

AA has already said payroll is going up. So he has his sights set on someone.

I dont think it'll be Fried, but AA has his eye on someone to be clearing up money.

    Jorge Soler to the Angels

I'd prefer to go younger at SP, but for 10-15M, you cant do much worse than Uncle Charlie. A top 5 of Sale, Strider, Schwelly, Lopez, and Morton works out just fine. Would leave plenty of money to get a SS and LF'er.

    Free Agents: Where They Going?

I think AA makes at least one splash this offseason, but not sure it'll come via FA. Although after last years dissapointment, and LA winning, he may be pissed off and make a move or two in FA.

    Jorge Soler to the Angels

Think this is more about clearing out Soler's money, than actual Canning himself. But interesting first move by AA.

Why walk Mookie to get to Freeman? Mookie has reverse splits, better vs RHP and worse vs LHP.
