*OPENING DAY* 4/6/'15: Atlanta Braves (Teheran) @ Miami Marlins

Well, for at least one day this season we can say we were in 1st place and undefeated. Suck it haters!

It's not crazy. Ibaka, Durant, and Roberson are OKC's three best defensive players and Collison is arguably their 4th best and probably 5th best at worst.

So do you consider Golden State one of the five best teams ever? Or am I misunderstanding your post?

Fair enough. I think I read/heard somewhere at some point after the trade it was the best offense, but that may have been just a week or two after the trade. Of course now they've played the last couple of weeks without Ibaka, too, who was also tearing it up after the trade.

So does Roberson. As awful as he is defensively, he ranks at or near the top in a lot of advanced defensive metric among perimeter players. Ibaka, Durant, and Roberson are OKC's three best defensive players and Collison is somewhere in the top 5 or 6. I do think OKC would be a top 10 defense...

Congrats to the Giants and all, but this has to be by far the least impressive, most nondescript "dynasty" in major professional sports history. 2010: 92-70, 1st in division, 4th best record in all of baseball 2012: 94-68, 1st in division, tied for 4th best record in baseball 2014: 88-74...

Hate that for Huddy. I want the Royals to win, but I wanted to see Hudson pitch well.

Oscar Taveras died in a car accident

It's up on ESPN, now. That's really, really sad news.

You know what pisses me off more than anything about this postseason? The lazy HDH nickname for Herrera, Davis, and Holland has become a "thing." Not because they don't deserve it, but because we Barved in 2012 (with a big helping hand from the umps) and were robbed from a deep postseason run...

And of all people, it's Travis ******* Ishikawa who hits the monster home run.

Yeah, runners on 2nd and 3rd, one out, and they don't get either one home. Now I'm sure the Cardinals will find a way to scrape together two runs by the end of the ninth inning.

As many insurance runs as possible for the Giants would be nice. Who knows what the hell else the Baseball Gods have in store for the Cardinals.

Yusimero Petit has now pitched the equivalent of a complete game, two hit, shutout in the postseason.

And no matter how nondescript their regular season was, it just seems that as long as they make the playoffs they're going to have random players get hot at the right time, get a few dozen fortunate bounces, and win a series or two or three.

Giants doing what they do, and erase a 4-1 deficit. Up 6-4, now. Hope they hold on to win, but I'm sure the equally "never say die" Cardinals will answer. I'd kill for us to have just 1/10th of the postseason fortitude the Giants and Cardinals have.

So much for that. Miller is mostly settled in and Vogelsong got rocked.

Well, this is shaping up to be a fun game. Both Vogelsong and Miller are being hit hard. Both got slapped around a bit in the 1st but only gave up one run, but the Cards lead-off with a double and a single in the 2nd and are back on top 2-1.

Why the hell is Strickland even pitching to Harper? Jesus, does anyone have a good manager?
