Rose tried to bunt while down 12 runs, why shouldn't Garber pitch the way he did?

/10/2015 WEDNESDAY MINORS FINAL ... Joe T's back!(????)

I took my son to Asheville (just an hour from home) to watch the Rome AVL game. Y'all had mentioned how short of stature Albies is. Is he ever!

6/6/15: GDT - Pittsburgh Pirates @ Atlanta Braves (Uribe at 2B)

My first thought was that CB better start running because that could be a double if if stays fair. The ball just kept carrying. :tchop:

    5/25/'15: GDT - Atlanta Braves @ L.A. Dodgers

An mlb.com article I read stated that JJ was to close it out if the Braves had ever regained the lead.

Grilli wasn't going to be used. Cunniff was going to pitch the 9th (according to DOB).

    5/23/15 Brewers @ Braves

It's the "Wait fo my signal, ump" stiff arm between pitches that grates on my nerves. Get. On. With. It.

That's "proof or GTFO" territory, IMO.

    April

I was hoping this was a transition from the laid-back hugger of teammates to more of a leadership role, but his "it shut them (the fans) up" comment* about Uggla's HR made me revisit this. * He has a point, of course, but there were plenty of other ways to say it IMO and still get his meaning...

Champ Summers charging across the diamond toward Pascual Perez in the Braves dugout, only to be stopped by Bob Horner, was 'rasslin level zaniness.

1983's highlights This is the 1983 highlight program, which is fun through that Dodgers series at Fulton County in August. The remainder, from the return series in LA on, is not.

I think I have that tape shoved in a closet somewhere as well. I had the '91 series vhs too, but I think I chunked it not because we lost, but because it seemed to be more a study of fan reaction than a chronicle of the Fall Classic.

I tend to agree, especially when Eovaldi went to the AL. Their losing him brought them back toward us in the pack IMO.

GDT: 4/12/15 BREAK OUT THE BROOMS (again!)

He was used in a "low leverage" situation: Tuesday in Miami. Jaime walked one but got out of the inning unscathed. Game 6 of 162, especially having won the previous 5, is low leverage enough IMO to see what the back end of the bullpen can do when needed. Jaime didn't do the job Sunday and was...

GDT: 4/12/15 BREAK OUT THE BROOMS (again!)

Jaime had an OK outing the 12-2 win in Miami: he walked Prado on 4 pitches, then settled down to pitch out the 9th. Fredi was probably hoping for the same, but it didn't pan out. Lesson learned, if one goes by Fredi's quote.

*OPENING DAY* 4/6/'15: Atlanta Braves (Teheran) @ Miami Marlins

FWIW (I didn't hear Fredi postgame), an AJC quote has it as, "I think we only struck out 3 times... before Dunn came in."

Ah! Braves baseball. I'm more than ready. It will be fun listening to Jim and Don on the drive home.
